We stayed here for a week and loved it. The area surrounding the home is non-touristy, natural, serene, and private, situated amidst the tropical forest and along the shoreline. The home is newly renovated, tastefully decorated, secure, and very comfortable for a family to spread out, hang out, and enjoy.
The pool and huge patio set up is perfect for family barbecues and hanging out day or night. We felt so pampered having the concierge available as our shopper, driver, cook, tour guide, and with the additional housekeeper and chef. (We went home with clean laundry neatly folded!) Leading up to the trip, Mike and Barb were a wonderful resource for us, so accommodating and informative, going the extra mile to help us with flights, answer all our questions, make sure we had what we needed upon arrival, offering their help and guidance along the way. They really helped make us feel at home. During your stay, consider the following activities: going on the boat excursion to Golfo Dulce; having the at home massage/spa (have you ever had a massage on your own private balcony while listening to birds and monkeys and frogs?); going for the most delicious pizza — right in town; going horseback riding through town and to the ocean; going zip lining through the tropical forest; drinking coconut water — straight from the coconut (hello, organic!); sitting on the balcony with your coffee and binoculars, watching birds and monkeys in their natural habitat; having Jennie and Tomas prepare an authentic “tico-style’ dinner. Overall, we had an awesome and memorable family vacation at this beautiful home surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of tropical forest and authentic Costarican culture. Thank you, Mike, Barb, Tomas and Jennie!
