I am recommending “The Whale Resort” as a fabulous destination vacation. The house was amazing. It was right on the beach and there wasn’t a bad view from anywhere. We had A/C when we weren’t swimming, but there was almost always a nice breeze coming off of the ocean too.

The house was very large, had a giant Master Bedroom. All of the bathrooms where large and we had our choice of showers or soaking tubs. There was a giant media room, with a large cocktail bar. There was a flat screen so we did get a chance to watch some collage football playoff games too. The kitchen was huge and had everything needed to cook and the everything was of high quality. We had 12 people in our group and it was easy for all of us to hang out and play silly games at night, and the kitchen table was nice and large enough for all of us to comfortably have nice sit down dinners.

The beach was perfect because it was a great swimmers beach, relaxing, always very calm, safe, and shallow for the kids. There were floating reclining rafts that were perfect to hang out in ocean. There is also floating cooler for an iced down beverage or two!

The backyard pool area was perfect for everyone to hang out, in and out of the pool, because it was all right there with plenty of patio chairs and tables. There was even a nice big gas grill for cooking out. I can’t think of anything this place didn’t have to offer. Our group had a blast! We even had a night time bonfire beach party and went swimming in the ocean under the full moon. What a rush! All you could see were thousands of beaming stars!

The staff was excellent. Genny cooked for us almost every night. Her food was delicious and there wasn’t anything she couldn’t cook, and they by day, she kept the house immaculate. We had clean bathrooms and fresh towels every day, and she even did our laundry. The concierge took care of our every need, day and night! The grounds and gardens were immaculate. The pools were kept clean, and Chavo the groundskeeper even cleaned the  debris from the beach for us, after a very high tide.

Then there was the wildlife! We had Monkeys in the backyard EVERY DAY. Not just a couple, some days we would see a hundred monkeys a day. There were Macaws, and Toucans hanging out daily, and the gardens had walking trails with hundreds of different flowers, with at least 15 or 20 varieties of heliconia’s, and in colors I never knew existed.

The owners, Mike and Barb where awesome too. They guided us and made sure we had all of our travel arrangements coordinated to coincide with Sansa Airlines. They set up our flights so all we did was call and give our CC to Sansa,  so when we flew into Costa Rica, all we had to do was to get off of one plane, get on the next one, fly down the coast to Puerto Jimenez, and were having cocktails in the pool by 4pm that afternoon.

I think this is the best vacation I have ever had.
